Cinematic Talking-Head Style Video Editing
This is the style that makes a phone clip look like a documentary. Desaturated, contrast-heavy grade. Slow-motion b-roll — hands, city, office — cut between talking-head segments. Sometimes letterboxed. Ambient sound design under the voice. Captions are small, elegant, serif or light sans. It says "premium" before the first word lands.

Frequently asked questions
What is the cinematic talking-head style?
A premium short-form style built on a desaturated film-like grade, slow-motion b-roll between talking-head segments, small elegant captions and atmospheric sound design. It's the look of high-ticket founders and luxury personal brands.
Do I need special equipment for this style?
No. A phone shot in 4K with the subject facing a window works. The grade and the b-roll selection do most of the work. We'll send a 6–8 shot b-roll list to film alongside your talking head.
Will this style hurt retention?
It's slower than the bold caption style, so raw retention numbers are often lower — but the audience it attracts is higher-intent. Premium clients don't scroll fast. Choose this when your price point justifies it.
Can you letterbox and still keep the safe zone?
Yes — we letterbox inside the 9:16 frame so the bars sit within the platform's blocked areas and the image stays fully visible.
